John Dillon
CEO, Navis
John brings his extensive experience in On Demand software to Emergence Capital. John is currently CEO of logistics leader, Navis. Prior to Navis, Dillon was the CEO for salesforce.com (NYSE: CRM), the leading supplier of On Demand CRM.
Previously, John was CEO for Arbor Software and Hyperion Solutions (NYSE: HYSL), both leading vendors of enterprise software for business reporting, analysis and planning. John's professional history also includes management positions in sales and engineering for Oracle Corporation (NYSE: ORCL) and EDS (NYSE: EDS).
Dillon holds a BS in Engineering from the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis and an MBA from Golden Gate University. He
served on active duty in the United States Navy as an officer in the nuclear submarine service and retired as a commander.

Timothy Chou
Former President, Oracle Outsourcing
Timothy Chou was most recently the President of Oracle Corporation's fastest growing business, Oracle On Demand. Oracle On Demand provides software on demand for over a quarter million users globally. Not only has Dr. Chou led a significant new business at Oracle, he is also recognized as an industry leader and has been featured in Forbes, Business Week and the Economist. He also serves as member of the Board of Directors of Embarcadero Technologies (EMBT) and is a member of the Advisory Board of Webex Corporation (WEBX).
Prior to Oracle On Demand, Dr. Chou held numerous leadership positions in technology companies including Tandem Computers and Reasoning, Inc, where he was Chief Operating Officer.
Dr. Chou began his career after earning his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. In addition to his career in the high tech industry he has been a lecturer in the Computer Science Department at Stanford University for over 15 years. He holds several patents and recently authored the book "The End of Software."
Gerard M. Mooney
Vice President, Corporate Strategy
IBM Corporation
Mr. Mooney is IBM's Vice President, Corporate Strategy focusing on growth and innovation and works with IBM's senior leadership team to take a broader look at all the relevant processes, incentives, measurements, and cultural aspects that contribute to IBM's growth.
Mr. Mooney is also responsible for the IBM Venture Capital organization whose mission is to leverage relations with top tier Venture Capital firms and their portfolio companies. This enables development of ecosystems around key IBM growth initiatives and evolving market opportunities in industries that IBM serves. He founded this organization for IBM in 2000.
Prior to joining IBM, Mr. Mooney held a variety of management positions at Hewlett-Packard (HP). While at HP his responsibilities included spearheading HP's corporate new venture program, managing HP's Bioscience program which developed DNA arrays using HP's inkjet technology, and running the Customer Education Division.
Mr. Mooney joined HP when they acquired Edge Emitter Technology, Inc., (ETT) a development stage company commercializing a solid state print head device, of which he was President. Prior to ETT, Mr. Mooney worked for Westinghouse Electronics in their Defense Electronics Business Unit, where he was part of the Merger and Acquisitions team focused on expanding the company into commercial electronics.
He began his career as an officer in the United States Coast Guard. Mr. Mooney holds a MBA from Yale University, a MS in Accounting from Georgetown University, and a BA in Philosophy from Mount Saint Mary's College.
Peggy Taylor
Former Vice President, People Soft
Formerly the President of PeopleSoft Investments, Inc., Peggy is an advisor to and an investor in numerous start-ups. She was honored by the Forum of Women Entrepreneurs with their FWE Entrepreneurial Achievement Award in 1999.
Peggy served from 1989 to 1999 as a Senior Vice President and member of the Management Team at PeopleSoft, Inc. In this role, she managed all corporate operations, including product development, customer services, professional services, and administration. She also managed the PeopleSoft Business Network and PeopleSoft's e-commerce products.
Prior to joining PeopleSoft, Peggy was Vice President of Trust and Investment Management at the Hibernia Bank in San Francisco, CA. During her three-year tenure, assets increased from $300 to $500 million. Previously, Peggy worked at the Bank of California, San Francisco, as Vice President and Director of Organization, Planning, and Development, where she was in charge of all personnel related operations. Peggy is on the board of directors of several companies, including Fair Isaac ( FIC ) and RightNow Technologies ( RNOW ). Peggy graduated Magna Cum Laude from Lone Mountain College in San Francisco with a B.A. in Communications and Psychology.
